New Kajabi Pricing - Updated May 2024

kajabi Jun 03, 2024

Kajabi is an all-in-one digital platform designed for creators to turn them into digital entrepreneurs. It provides tools course creators need to create, market, and sell digital content like online courses, coaching packages, and community. If you are looking for an in-depth review of what you can do with Kajabi you can read my review of Kajabi which was last updated in 2024.

A lot has changed with Kajabi, including it’s pricing, in 2023/2024. Kajabi pricing is still based on a monthly subscription, but now there are 4 plans instead of 3: Kickstarter, Basic, Growth, and Pro.

On top of the monthly plans, they have introduced feature add-ons you can subscribe to to get new things in more specific areas if you want, like a chatbot, branded app, landing page widgets, or more creator studio credits, so ya, there is a lot to talk about.

If you haven’t looked at Kajabi pricing in a while, this is for you, there is a lot more going on in Kajabi than there used to be.

What are the Kajabi Plans?

Kajabi has 4 plans: Kickstarter, Basic, Growth, and Pro. All the plans have similar features but each is designed with a specific user in mind and mostly differ by the amount of things you get and not what you get.

An image displaying a pricing comparison chart for four subscription plans: Kickstarter ($69/month), Basic ($149/month), Growth ($199/month), and Pro ($399/month). Each plan details features and services offered, with the Growth plan labeled as most popular

What is the Same Between the Kajabi Plans?

Each plan includes all the features below:

  • 0% Transaction fees
  • Website and landing page builders
  • Blog
  • Podcast
  • Email marketing tools
  • Analytics
  • Unlimited video hosting and built-in video streaming
  • Funnels
  • Products (courses, coaching programs, community groups, and podcasts)
  • Payment integration with Stripe and/or PayPal
  • Kajabi payment processing for accounts in the United States and Canada
  • Events
  • Assessments
  • Automations
  • Creator Studio
  • Customer Management

The main difference between Kajabi plans is how many of or what your quota is for each of the features.

Each plan has access to Kajabi University, which provides extensive on-demand training for using Kajabi. This training is not limited to how to use Kajabi, but also covers topics about how to market courses online, and provides other coaching on how to be a digital entrepreneur.

All Kajabi plans are compatible with the Kajabi app which puts your products right on your customer's smartphones via an app instead of navigating through a web browser.

Another similarity between the Kajabi plans is the annual discount. If you choose to pay annually instead of monthly, you get a 20% discount.

There are some features you only get with the Kajabi Growth or Pro plans. In the Growth plan, you get to use the affiliate program, advanced automations, 24/7 chat support, and can remove Kajabi branding. With the Pro plan, you get all of that plus the code editor.

What is the Difference Between the Kajabi Plans?

The major difference between the Kajabi plans that causes users to upgrade from one plan to another are the quota limits of a given feature in a specific plan. For example, the number of products and funnels you can have differs from plan to plan.

A “product” refers to an online course, a membership area, a podcast, a community, or a coaching package. The Basic plan allows only 3 of these, whereas the Growth plan allows for 15 and the Pro plan allows for 100.

You can see the difference in numbers between each Kajabi plan, which is highlighted in yellow below. A comparison table of four pricing plans: Kickstarter ($69/month) includes basics like 1,250 marketing emails and 25 landing pages. Basic ($149/month) offers more emails and contacts. Growth ($199/month) adds AI assistance and 24/7 support. Pro ($399/month) provides the most features, including 100,000 contacts and advanced reporting.

The plans above are the monthly prices, each plan has an annual option that gives you a 20% discount.

Kajabi Kickstarter Plan

Kajabi pricing for the Kickstarter plan is $69 per month. With the 20% discount for annual billing it is the equivalent of $55 per month.

Key features of the Kickstarter Plan:

  • 1 Product
  • 1 Funnel
  • 250 contacts
  • 50 customers
  • 1 admin user
  • 1 website

Who is the Kajabi Kickstarter Plan For?

The Kajabi Kickstarter plan is designed for new coaches or creators who want to start selling a course but don’t want to jump in with a high monthly fee and don’t have a lot of moving parts in their business. It gives them the chance to set everything up, start selling, and then move into the Basic plan when they have a bit of an income stream. At this point, your Kajabi account is likely going to be paying for itself and you will have an idea if you like the way you can run your business using Kajabi.

This plan is only available for new clients, you can’t be in the Basic or Growth plan and then downgrade to the Kickstarter plan. This is a unique restriction, in the other three plans, if you are paying month to month, you can move up or down between the plans each month if you want to.

Kajabi Basic Plan

Kajabi pricing for the Basic plan is $149 per month. With the 20% discount for annual billing it is the equivalent of $119 per month.

Key features of the Basic Plan:

  • 3 Products
  • 3 Funnels
  • 10,000 contacts
  • 1,000 customers
  • 1 admin user
  • 1 website

Who is the Kajabi Basic Plan For?

The Kajabi basic plan is a great plan for an entrepreneur who is only selling 1 to 3 things, doesn’t have a really big email list, and doesn’t need more than 1 extra admin user profile to help them with their work in the backend of Kajabi. If this is you, then consider the Basic plan.

Kajabi Growth Plan

Kajabi pricing for the Basic plan is $199 per month. With the 20% discount for annual billing it is the equivalent of $159 per month.

Key features of the Kajabi Growth Plan:

  • 15 Products
  • 15 Funnels
  • 100,000 contacts
  • 20,000 customers
  • 25 admin users
  • 1 website
  • 24/7 chat support
  • Advanced automations
  • Affiliate Program

Is the Kajabi Growth Plan right for you?

The Kajabi growth plan is the most popular because it allows for up to 10 admins, 15 products, and advanced automation. If you want to leverage affiliate marketing for your products, you will need to consider the Growth Plan as this is the lowest-priced plan with that feature. I have a full review of the Growth plan if you want to learn more about the features it introduces like advanced automations, removing Kajabi branding, and the affiliate program.

When you sign up for a 30-day free trial, you get put in the growth plan. You can change this at any time during your trial to the basic if you don’t need the extra features. When you change from the growth plan to another plan during a free trial period, your free trial ends on the day you make that change, so if you are going to do this, try to make the change at the end of your trial period.

Kajabi Pro Plan

Kajabi pricing for the Basic plan is $399 per month. With the 20% discount for annual billing it is the equivalent of $319 per month.

Key features of the Kajabi Pro Plan:

  • 100 Products
  • 100 Funnels
  • 25,000 contacts
  • 10,000 customers
  • 10 admin users
  • 3 websites
  • 24/7 chat support
  • Advanced automations
  • Affiliate Program
  • Code Editor

Is the Kajabi Pro Plan right for you?

The Kajabi pro plan is a great plan for an entrepreneur who needs lots of products, a large team, the technical abilities to use the code editor, and/or needs more than 1 website.

What is the Kajabi Code Editor?

The code editor gives you access to the code that controls every page. Unlike the custom code area in each page, or the header page scripts area in the site details or the footer scripts in the checkout pages; the code editor gives you full control over the whole program. This is a completely technical tool and is not intended for typical Kajabi users.

Kajabi Add-Ons

Some of Kajabi's newest features are add-on features that are not included in any of the plans. These add-ons have their own fee structure and can be ignored or added to your monthly plan fee.

These are the add-ons that are not included in the monthly fee of the Kajabi plans:

  • Landing Page and Website Page Widgets
  • Chatbot
  • Extra Creator Studio Credits
  • Adobe Express Premium Membership
  • Branded Mobile App

Landing Page and Website Page Widgets

Kajabi has partnered with Common Ninja to integrate their widgets into Kajabi. Each Kajabi plan allows users to add 1 widget to their website for free. To get more than one widget you can sign up for one of the following plans according to your needs.

If you are in an annual plan for your Kajabi account, you will only be able to get an annual plan for your widgets, if you are in a monthly plan for Kajabi then you can get a monthly plan for widgets.

Comparison table of four plans for a service: Premium for $270/year (25 widgets), Basic for $135/year (10 widgets), Starter for $55/year (3 widgets), and Free $0/year (1 widget). All plans include branded customization and a no-code editor. The current plan is Free.

There are no page view limits for these widgets when you subscribe through Kajabi. You can learn more about Kajabi’s integration with Common Ninja from Kajabi’s widget help article on their website.

Chatbot

Kajabi has an integration with Creator.io to provide a multipurpose chatbot to your Kajabi content. This chatbot can be used for lead generation and sales, customer support, or even as a digital coach in your course material. There is a free plan for the Creator.io chatbot, the monthly plan options are below:

Each plan's features include various numbers of chatbots, message credits, resources, transcription minutes, contacts, lead gen tools, and branding options. Each plan has a Get started button.

What is the Kajabi Creator Studio?

The Creator Studio is an AI-assisted tool that helps you leverage your existing video content to create more valuable content for your social media or blog. Every Kajabi plan gives you credits for 1 Creator Studio project each month. A project based on one video, so each month you can use 1 of your videos to create many types of content as seen below.

If this tool is something that works well for you and you want more project credits, you can subscribe to a monthly plan of project credits that meets your needs. If you choose the premium plan, you get a complimentary Adobe Express Premium account.

What does Adobe Express Have to do with Kajabi?

Kajabi has partnered with Adobe Express to manage video editing in the Creator Studio and image editing on website and landing pages. This brings a huge amount of functionality to Kajabi for social media content creation and image editing.

The pricing for Adobe Express is not connected to Kajabi. So to use these features you start with a free plan of Adobe Express and if you want you can upgrade to a premium plan. If you are already an Adobe user, you can connect to Kajabi what your existing membership.

An image of a pricing table showing three plans: Free, Premium, and Teams. The Free plan is USD 0.00 with limited features. The Premium plan is USD 9.99/month, offering more features. The Teams plan is USD 6.49/month per user, aimed at collaborative content creation.

The premium upgrade gives you 250 ai generation credits per month instead of 25 which is what you get in the free plan. You also get access to the premium selection of stock assets, templates and fonts.

What is Kajabi Access?

You may have heard of or remember Kajabi Access, it was an upgrade that let you double your quotas and get access to the code editor. This plan upgrade was discontinued in  2024 and is no longer available.

Branded Mobile App

The basic Kajabi app is something your customers can use no matter what plan you are in. Kajabi has an upgraded app you can pay for that is exclusively yours. You get to brand it, customize it, and even sell through it.

There are 2 versions of the app, one that includes the community product for $199 per month and one that does not include the community product for $89 per month. You can learn more about the branded app from Kajabi on their website.

Is Kajabi Too Expensive?

Here are 3 tips to consider when comparing Kajabi pricing to pricing of other platforms:

  1. Pay attention to the number of contacts you get with your email marketing provider. The size of your email list has a big influence on the cost of email marketing from other platforms like ConvertKit, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign which scale their pricing on list size. With Kajabi’s basic plan you up to 10,000 contacts.  The monthly prices of these platforms can be over $200 at the 10,000 level. Also keep in mind that your email list will grow, and with most email platforms, as your list grows, your fee does too.
  2. Do your best to know what features of Kajabi you expect to use. If you are just using Kajabi for a website platform, there will be a lot of cheaper options out there. If you are using Kajabi for a website, email marketing, funnels, and courses, then it is going to be cheaper than the combined price of all the alternatives you would need.
  3. Consider how valuable your time is. It takes a lot of effort to learn how to use different platforms. Using an all-in-one platform like Kajabi means learning one tool. Using several single service platforms is going to require the same learning curve process for each one, and when updates and changes are made, the effort to adjust is multiplied.

I’ve summarized some competitor pricing below, these prices are meant to illustrate how things can add up when you are using single-feature platforms. A one-size-fits-all comparison is impossible to make because each of these platforms offers different pricing levels for different features etc. Some of these prices could be different from what the actual price is when you read this. This is just for illustrative purposes to help you see how things can add up.

Kajabi Pricing Conclusion

Hopefully this article has given you a better understanding of Kajabi pricing and its different plans. Ultimately which plan will be best for your business will depend on your unique needs and what features you use. It doesn’t have to be hard to know what plan you need. If you are paying monthly, you can move between the plans each month. So if you don’t know where to start, you can start with the Basic Plan, and if you need more, upgrade to the growth plan when you have too.

Is Kajabi worth it?

That’s up to you to decide, keep in mind what you will use it for and the value of only needing to work with one platform that can take care of several needs. Kajabi is an industry-leading service provider so you can be comfortable knowing they do a good job at a lot of things.
