Kajabi Pricing

kajabi May 05, 2022

If you’ve been looking for a one-stop-shop for your business needs, then you’ve probably heard of Kajabi. Kajabi is a company that provides a platform to create, grow, and manage an online business based on courses, coaching programs, podcasts, and more. They try to wrap up all of the basic needs for an online business in a single platform to maximize convenience and ease of use.

If you're wondering about Kajabi prices or have started looking at the different Kajabi pricing plans and are wondering what plan you would need for your business? You're in the right place. I have been working in Kajabi for over 2 years now using it myself and and as a contractor for other people, I know Kajabi inside and out and have a lot to say about it.

There are complaints that trying to be an all-in-one makes Kajabi a jack of many trades but master of none. But I will tell you this, I work with a lot of entrepreneurs helping them switch to Kajabi and it is few and far between to have someone tell me they don’t appreciate how easy it is to use and how well it works for their needs.

Convenience, ease of use, support, community, and frequently released new features are all aspects that make Kajabi a valuable investment.

I've heard complaints that Kajabi prices are too high. If you are comparing Kajabi to just one of the services it can replace, then yes, it is usually more expensive, but if you are going to use Kajabi for several or all of the features it has it is hard to support the claim it is too expensive. When you are looking at the price, you need to consider how many of Kajabi’s features you will be using when you compare it to other service providers. If you are early in your business, one word of advise I will pass on that many of the people I work with tell me is that taking care of as much as you can with one platform is worth the investment just from the point of simplicity and connivence.

Whenever I am talking to someone about Kajabi pricing, I always remind them to take into consideration the value of their time. When you add on the time saved from only learning 1 platform, and not having to manage the integrations of several platforms to make sure they work seamlessly together, Kajabi pricing is actually pretty cheap compared to the value you get. Potentially much cheaper than the alternative of working with multiple platforms.

How to decide on a Kajabi pricing plan

The fool-proof way to know what plan best meets your needs is to see for yourself. The good news here is that Kajabi utilizes free trials, so you get to try it out before you spend anything or decide on one of their plans. If you want to try out Kajabi, click here and I can give you a free 30-Day trial as well as one-on-one support (a totally awesome out of this world affiliate bonus I give all my referrals) to help you get the most out of your 30-Day trial.

During your trial period, you can choose from Basic, Growth, and the Pro plan, all of which I will discuss below. There is no free option with reduced features. There is, however, a 30-day money back guarantee, so long as you contact support within 30 days of the first payment made.

Similar Features in All Plans

Each plan includes all the features below, Kajabi doesn't upsell you to get access to features you need like some other platforms. The difference between the plans is seen in how many of or what your quota is for each of the features.

  • Website and landing page builders
  • Blog
  • Podcast
  • Email marketing tools
  • Real-time analytics
  • Unlimited video hosting and built-in video streaming
  • Pipelines
  • Products to sell your courses, memberships and one-on-one coaching
  • Payment integration with Stipe and/or PayPal
  • Zero transaction fees
  • Events
  • Assessments
  • Automations

Each plan has access to Kajabi University, which provides on-demand training for the entire process of creating your online courses and business.

You also get a mobile app, which is essential in today’s mobile-first world, that allows your customers to access your courses on their smartphones via an app instead of navigating through a web browser. Payments are done through PayPal or Stripe and you are never charged transaction fees, ever. This means you get to keep 100% of every sale you make.

Unlike other providers all these features are fully available at each pricing plan, you don’t have to upgrade to get access to more features.

How the Kajabi Pricing Plans Differ

The major difference between the Kajabi pricing plans that causes users to upgrade from one plan to another are the quota limits of a given feature in a specific plan. For example, the number of products and pipelines you can have differs from plan to plan. Note that “product” refers to an online course, a membership area, a podcast, a community, or a coaching package. Basic allows only 3 of these, where Growth allows for 15 and Pro allows for 100. You can see the difference in numbers between the pricing plans in the graphic below. This is a good spot to remind you that the best way to know how your business fits into the quota limits below is to get into Kajabi with a 30-Day Free trial and see for yourself. (the Kajabi Growth plan is used for comparisons to Kajabi pricing)

I said above there is no upselling in Kajabi pricing, and I meant it, but there are a few abilities that are different between the pricing plans that aren’t quota limits. To be able to use your custom domain in email marketing and have advanced automations (conditional logic), you need to be in the Growth or Pro plan. To have access to the code editor for your site you need to be in the Pro plan or have the Access add on. The Growth and Pro plans have 24/7 chat support included. While Basic plans have access to these chats, it isn’t 24/7.

Of the three points above, the ability to use your custom domain in email marketing is the one that most people find important. Advanced automations are rarely needed, and the code editor is only needed for extreme customization.

I will admit that it can be a bit much to read through the pricing plans of any platform and understand which is the one you need. I’ve been there as I’ve explored other website and email platforms before moving my business to Kajabi. Luckily for anyone who is considering Kajabi as a possible solution for some or all of their business needs, Kajabi does something that makes it really easy for people to understand what pricing plan they need; they use affiliate marketing. As an affiliate, I can offer 30-Day free trials (instead of the 14-Day trial you can get from the Kajabi website). This gives you 30 Days to understand what a product is, and if you need more than 3. 30 Days to try out the email marketing, event webinars, and landing pages and all the other features to know if they will work for you and how many of them you need. As an affiliate, I also give you access to a crazy amount of 1-on-1 support, not courses or videos, real access to talk to a person and get the help you need to come to a decision if Kajabi is right for you. If your at all curious about what that means, or want a 30-Day free trial, click here

Here is the full breakdown of Kajabi’s pricing and plans. They have annual and monthly billing options, paying annually gives you a 20% discount from the monthly Kajabi prices:

Kajabi Basic Plan

The Kajabi pricing for the Basic plan is $149 per month–or $119 per month if billed annually.

It allows for 3 products and 3 pipelines, 1 website and 1 admin user, and 10,000 total contacts (only 1,000 of which can be active members). One of the biggest setbacks to the basic pricing plan is that you cannot integrate your custom domain name for email marketing. You also don’t have access to the affiliate feature to sell your products.

The Kajabi basic plan is a great plan for an entrepreneur who only has 1 or 2 different offers to sell or ways people can work with them, and doesn’t mind that their emails will be sent from the Kajabi’s mail domain.

Kajabi Growth Plan

The Kajabi pricing for the Growth plan is $199 per month—or $159 per month if billed annually.

For only $50 more per month—$40 if billed annually—you get significantly more. Growth grants access to 15 products and 15 pipelines, 1 website still but 10 admins, and 25,000 total contacts (of which 10,000 can be active members). You get to use your own domain for your email marketing and advanced automations which enables conditional logic. You also get 24/7 chat support, and an affiliate marketing program.

The Kajabi growth plan is the most popular because it allows for multiple admins, 15 products, and custom domain integration to email marketing. When you sign up for a free trial, you get put in the growth plan, you can change this at any time during your trial to the basic if you want to.

Kajabi Pro Plan

The Kajabi pricing for the Pro plan is the most expensive at $399 per month—$319 per month when billed annually.

Although this plan is the most expensive, it is also the most robust. You're really paying for access to 100 products and 100 pipelines, 3 websites and 25 admin users, and 100,000 total contacts (of which 20,000 can be active members). An additional benefit in the pro plan is that you get access to the code editor. Some may not need this feature, but it’s an excellent feature for tech-savvy businesses.

Bonus: Kajabi Access (an add-on enhancer for $99/month)

If you’re needing a little bit more for the plan you choose, you can always add on the Kajabi Access, which allows you to double your feature quotas and gives you access to the code editor.

Kajabi Access also gives you six one-on-one sessions, 45 minutes each, with one of Kajabi’s Customer Success Managers. Since they know the ins and outs of the platform, your experience should be more positive and successful.

The bottom line

Hopefully this article has given you a better understanding of Kajabi pricing and plans. Some will find the Basic plan more than enough for their needs. Others with much greater business needs will want to go for the Pro plan (especially if you need more than 1 website) since it offers the most products and potential contacts. Most users however, are best suited for the Kajabi Growth plan. Ultimately which plan will be best for your business will depend on your unique needs and what features you intend to use if you sign up.

Is Kajabi worth it? That’s up to you to decide, keep in mind what you plan on using it for and value of only needing to work with one platform to take care of several needs. If you are going to be using multiple features from what they offer, it is going to be hard to beat them on price by choosing other providers.

If I was your business coach, I would tell you that price shouldn’t be the deciding factor. This is your business, when it comes to the tech you are using, you need something that will enable you to do what your business needs.

I have seen far too many entrepreneurs who are stuck in their business because they are so lost in how to get the tech they have to work for them. The thought of even going into their backend software and trying to make a funnel or lead magnet is so discouraging that they don’t even try. That situation is something you should avoid at all costs, your business should not be limited by your relationship with the technology you use.

When you are considering Kajabi pricing, and contemplating what other options there are, I only have two pieces of advice. First: Don’t minimize the value of your time and the impact it will have on your business to have a platform that is easy to use, and you are comfortable with. Second: Take advantage of the Free 30-Day trial. The clearest way to know what you think of Kajabi prices, is to use it yourself and come to your own opinion of what it's worth.
