Episode Overview
Editing the Legacy Checkout Page
Welcome back to Kajabi in 5 Minutes. In this episode, the final video in the Kajabi Offers series, the focus is on editing the checkout page in the legacy version of Kajabi. This version will only be available until January 13, 2026, after which updated checkout features will take over. If you are using the legacy checkout page, this guide will help you navigate its structure and functionality.
Accessing and Navigating the Checkout Page
To edit the checkout page, go to Sales > Offers in Kajabi's toolbar, select your offer, then click the "Edit Checkout" button at the top right. If you haven’t opted into the newest Kajabi pricing plans and design, you will still be using this legacy version. The page displays the price on the side, editable content in the center, and a toolbar on the left with three main areas: Page Content, Design, and Additional Settings.
Editing Tips and Important Details
When making changes through the toolbar, remember to click "Save" as updates don’t auto-refresh on the screen. Take your time exploring each section to understand its options.
If you enable a banner for your checkout page, be aware it may not scale well on mobile devices and could be clipped. Test your banner on various screen sizes to ensure it displays properly.
In the Additional Settings, you can control login requirements, mobile layout preferences (whether price or sales copy appears first on mobile), and footer information.
Login and Password Collection Settings
Under login requirements, you can either force returning members to log in or make login optional. If you do require logins, you can choose to collect new member passwords right on the checkout page or after purchase via a popup. The recommended approach is to leave password creation for after purchase, so it doesn’t interfere with the buying process and reduce friction.
Customer Experience Features
At the bottom of the checkout page content section is a testimonials area, though it can be somewhat clunky to manage. Beyond adding testimonials, customization options are limited, so focus on clear presentation and smooth customer experience.
Advanced Design with HTML and AI Help
For further styling control, you can use the text box’s source code editor (the <> icon) to view and copy the HTML. Pasting this code into an AI tool with instructions to improve the design can be a quick way to enhance your checkout content’s look. Then, paste the improved HTML back into the text box for better styling.
Conclusion
This episode wraps up the Kajabi Offers series focusing on how to optimize the legacy checkout page experience. Upcoming videos will cover the new Kajabi features launched after September 2025. Thank you for listening and tuning into these weekly Kajabi tips.
